The Role:

The Credit Controller is responsible for chasing outstanding invoices owed to the company and plays a vital role in the cash flow of the organization. The position will include the credit controller chasing Solicitors and Insurance companies for payments via telephone and email, maintaining accurate records onto the company's system. This is a challenging opportunity that will involve working under pressure to deadlines and constantly striving to achieve targets. The position is based in our office in Liverpool City Centre.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Chasing debt by telephone and email in order to reduce debt
  • Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices
  • Investigating and resolving queries received from the customer
  • Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
  • Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Build relationships with customers through frequent telephone contact, chasing payment for due/overdue invoices, ensuring that terms of payment are adhered to
  • Weekly debtor reviews with Team Leader

Personal Specification:

The following skills must be evident from the letter of application of any potential candidate;

  • Previous experience of working with Key Customers to ensure contract terms are adhered to while maintaining good relationships.
  • Customer focused approach
  • Motivated and Pro-active with an ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Good Excel skills, a polite but tenacious telephone manner and good systems knowledge.
  • Outgoing and confident personality
  • Maths & English GCSEs at grade C or above or the equivalent
