Getting to know… Jack Hilton

For five years, Jack has been an incredible asset to all of us here at MLA. As Senior Operations Administrator, it’s his responsibility to provide an exceptional service to our customers while also overseeing Noise-Induced Hearing Loss cases. It’s part of his role to ensure hearing tests and reports are completed to the agreed service levels and meet our impeccably high standards.

1. What do you enjoy most about your job and why?

I enjoy the challenge of booking appointments and obtaining reports within specified time frames, and also enjoy working as part of a team as we have a great rapport with each other.

2. MLA has lots of long-serving team members such as yourself, why do you think this is?

All of the staff at MLA have a great relationship. As cheesy as it sounds, we are like a family. Everyone helps one another and looks out for each other… and we all love a good night out!

3. What has been the greatest moment of your career at MLA so far?

My promotion to Senior Operations Administrator was a great achievement, as it has enabled me to take on more responsibility within the team.

4. What are you looking forward to in the next year for MLA?

MLA achieved MedCo Tier 1 status in September. Since then, we have continued to grow and are looking at new areas to expand into. I'm excited about the new opportunities this will bring.

5. Can you tell us three fun facts about you?

- I follow Everton home and away every week (which sometimes is not very enjoyable to watch!)
- I enjoy trips away to European cities a few times a year
- I won a spelling contest in Year 3 - and won the Egg and Spoon Race at Sports Day

6. How would your colleagues describe you?

I asked them and they said, “helpful, hardworking, like to have a laugh but a little bit annoying!”

We believe our team is our greatest asset - every challenge or opportunity we put in front of them, they revel in it and always deliver. We’re proud to have such great retention rates in terms of our staff, as it’s also great for our customers and enables us to build real relationships with them.
